<abstract>El Consejo Europeo de Tampere, dedicado casi en exclusiva a la creación de un espacio común de libertad, seguridad y justicia en la Unión Europea, acordó que para finales de 2001 debería crearse una Unidad (EUROJUST) integrada por fiscales, magistrados, o funcionarios de polícias nacionales de competencia equivalente para intensificar la lucha contra las formas graves de delincuencia organizada.</abstract>
