<abstract>L'article se limite pour l'essentiel aux émissions accidentelles de gaz halogénés toxiques, l'un des principaux dangers rencontrés dans les piscines. Le type d'installation ou d'équipement de désinfection en cause est connu pour 46 accidents. L'origine de ces émissions résulte le plus souvent de défaillances d'equipements de chloration ou de l'alimentation électrique conduisant soit à une fuite directe et immédiate de chlore. La série d'accidents présentée illustre la nécessité de prendre en compte les impératifs de sécurité dans l'aménagement, l'exploitation, la maintenance et l'entretien des installations ainsi que dans la mise en oeuvre et le stockage des produits de chloration</abstract>
