Rigorous value of information (VOI) analyses provide opportunities to evaluate strategies to collect information to improve environmental health risk management (EHRM) decisions. This review of the methodology and applications shows that advances in computing tools allow analysists to tackle problems with grater complexity, althought the literature still lacks "real" applications , probably due to a number of barriers
