New product safety rules require companies to grapple with ever-increasing regulatory obligation. In December 2004 the UK's Departement of Trade and Industry (DTI) published draft General Product Safety Regulations as part of a consultation process which ended on 31 March 2005. The regulations will implement the revised General Product Safety Directive (2001-95-EC) (GPSD) and revoke the existing General Product Safety Regulations 1994
