Título: Pollution risk assessments in emerging markets / Jürg Busenhart, Christian SchauerAutor: Busenhart, Jürg
Publicación: Zurich : Swiss Re, 2011Notas: Sumario: Studies have shown that the pollution impact industrial disasters have on natural resources impairs the social and economic development of societies. This fact is recognised by increasing numbers of governments in all parts of the world. In consequence, they have been tightening regulations and now expect private companies to manage their environmental risks properly. In addition, governments expect private firms to pay for any damage they cause through negligent management of these risks. Although the level of regulation and its enforcement varies from country to country, more and more companies are being obliged to : assess the environmental impact of their activities; identify key hazards; implement adequate risk protection measures; ensure that sufficient financial resources are available to mitigate environmental damage; compensate victims suffering bodily injury, damage to individual property or financial lossMateria / lugar / evento: Contaminación atmosférica Factores de riesgo Países emergentes Accidentes industriales Identificación de riesgos Seguro de responsabilidad civil por daños al medio ambiente Gerencia de riesgos Otros autores: Schauer, Christian
