Sumario: On behalf of FERMA, I am pleased to present this report that we have produced with McKinsey & Company. It explores the contribution of risk management to corporate resilience as we move forward from the immediate impact of the pandemic crisis. Before the pandemic, we knew that risk management and risk managers had an important role in keeping shocks from destabilising their companies. The pandemic proved that. Until this report, however, we had little data on this contribution. Against this backdrop, FERMA and McKinsey & Company surveyed risk and insurance professionals and senior executives across sectors globally in the summer of 2021. Our aim was to establish a current view of the role of risk and insurance management in fostering resilience for their organisations
