In doing so, it reveals fundamental mismatches within the current system that are preventing adequate financial flows reaching clean energy projects in Africa. Project developers often find capital to be too expensive and with unworkable terms, while on the finance supply side, investors find many clean energy projects on the continent to be too small or risky.
