Sumario: In the following it will be shown theoretically from consideration of the size distribution of the fibres that MMMF contribute significantly to the total dust concentration. Respirable, inspirable and other mass fractions are calculated theoretically. Finally, some theoretical and experimental mass/number indices (MNI) converting respirable fibre concentration by number to total fibre mass concentration are given
