520  ‎$a‎In this paper only printing processes as opposed to line banding and spraying methods, are considered: first the range of developments of techniques for the manufacture of decorated pottery are outlined, and then some indication of the new printing technologies under investigation is given. In doing this however, it is important not to lose sight of the implications from the point of view of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the requirements of which form the basis of the way in which the ceramic printing industry works: each technology poses its own particular problems so that each has its own set of requirements with which the industry more than complies
