MAP20071021891Goodfellow, Howard D.Industrial ventilation : a review and update / Howard D. Goodfellow and James W. SmithSumario: The present paper reviews the technical progress being made in the industrial ventilation field by different investigators throughout the world. Ventilation, by definition, is a method of controlling the environment with airflow. The term "industrial ventilation" refers to ventilation applications in the industrial sector. This is in contrast to commercial applications of ventilation systems which have not been included in the present review. Ventilation is one of the most important engineering techniques available to the industrial hygienist for maintaining or improving the workplace environment. The uses of industrial ventilation can be divided into three major applications: control of heat and humidity for comfort, control of contaminants to safe levels and prevention of fire and explosionEn: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal. - Akron, Ohio. - Vol. 43, nº 3, 1982 ; p. 175-1841.
