<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La tercera directiva 92/49/CEE no debe confundirse con la tercera directiva automóvil, ya que, a diferencia de esta última, sus disposiciones se aplican a todos los ramos del seguro distintos del seguro de vida (incluido el ramo automóvil), con el objeto de profundizar en el desarrollo de la libertad de establecimiento y de la libre prestación de servicios. La finalidad del presente artículo es analizar este último aspecto, es decir, ver en qué medida afectan a las entidades que operan en el ramo automóvil las nuevas disposiciones de carácter general e "inspiración comunitaria" que introduce la ley de supervisión</abstract>
