<abstract displayLabel="Summary">In this article the authors describe the methods they used to generate, administer, and monitor sulfuric fog and to estimate total and regional dosimetry in healthy, nonsmoking, young male adults acutely exposed to sulfuric. Notwithstanding the effort made to impose a uniform level of ambient exposure, the authors observed significant differences in estimated dosimetry among subjects, predicated on the continuous monitoring of ventilation. These differences were significantly associated with the changes seen in mucociliary cleareance rates</abstract>
