<abstract>En este trabajo se presenta evidencia sobre el proceso de deslocalización de empresas que está actualmente viviendo España, situándolo en la perspectiva del que sufrió ya a comienzos de 1990, así como de la experiencia internacional disponible, escasamente documentada todavía. Las empresas de capital extranjero protagonizan este proceso, complementándolo con otro de desinversión en compañías en las que compartían la propiedad con residentes. La atracción que están ejerciendo los países de Europa Central y Oriental en su nueva faceta de desarrollo, dentro ya de la UE, se revela con claridad</abstract>
