<abstract>En los últimos 10 años México se ha consolidado como un socio comercial estable y primer destino de la exportación española a Iberoamérica. Sin llegar a ocupar los puestos de cabeza, la cuota de España en el mercado mexicano ha aumentado de forma prácticamente ininterrumpida en una etapa de apertura exterior de la economía mexicana sin precedentes, hasta alcanzar un nivel equiparable a Italia. Más destacable resulta la presencia inversora de España en México, donde ocupa el tercer lugar por detrás de Estados Unidos y Holanda en cuanto a la inversión directa extranjera en el último decenio</abstract>
