Notas: Sumario: The long-term effects of exposure to sized man-made glass fibres have been investigated. After instillation of a single bolus of fibres, short fibres were observed inside macrophages. In contrast, macrophages could not engulf the long fibres and the macrophages were often seen arrayed along the long fibres.
