<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En el ámbito laboral, existe una gran cantidad de agentes químicos capaces de provocar daño hepático. En este documento técnico se expone: las sustancias más comúnmente implicadas, tipo de lesiones más habituales, mecanismos fisiopatológicos que se hallan involucrados en su origen, medidas de vigilancia de la salud a aplicar sobre los trabajadores y factores más importantes a tener en cuenta a  la hora de conocer los riesgos, vigilar la salud de los trabajadores posiblemente expuestos y determinar la aptitud de un trabajador que se halla en un puesto de trabajo en el que exista riesgo de exposición a sustancias químicas capaces de producir daño sobre el hígado
