<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La necesidad de disponer de una herramienta específica y segura para labores concretas en las plantas industriales es cada vez más evidente dados los múltiples procesos que en ellas se desarrollan. En este artículo se exponen los principios ergonómicos que se han seguido en los procesos de diseño de dos nuevas herramientas destinadas a la labor de apertura y cierre de válvulas que dispongan de un volante como forma de accionamiento y control. Como resultado, se han obtenido herramientas seguras y que optimizan el esfuerzo muscular del operador, evitando lesiones en los trabajadores y daños en las instalaciones</abstract>
