<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En otras palabras, la población en Europa está envejeciendo rápidamente. En 2010 el número de personas de más de 65 años era algo superior a 87 millones, el 17,4% de la población total. Si se compara con las cifras de 1985, vemos que por entonces había 59,3 millones de personas de más de 65 años, un 12,8 % en total. El pronóstico es que estas cifras aumenten aún más en relación a la población en edad de trabajar, doblándose para 2060. Esto supone un reto, pero también una oportunidad de aprovechar la experiencia y las aptitudes de los mayores</abstract>
