Sumario: The UK corporate governance code and the Turnbull Report require companies listed on the London Stock Exchange to report their risk management activities. Similar requirements exist for companies listed on stock exchanges around the world. Also, many other types of organisations have to fulfil similar risk disclosure requirements, including charities and government agencies. The publication of information on risk management activities enables shareholders (and other stakeholders) to evaluate the attention that the company pays to the management of the significant risks that it faces. Good standards of risk management reporting help to give confidence to shareholders that the company is resilient and is more likely to be successful in the short and long term
