<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Después de un incendio existen diversas técnicas de emergencia para proteger y recuperar los suelos y acelerar la regeneración natural de la vegetación forestal, como siembra de herbácea y cobertura del suelo con restos vegetales y fajinadas, entre otras. En este trabajo se presenta la técnica del alfombrado (mulching) con heno o paja, considerada por los estudios más recientes como la más fiable y efectiva de todas, aunque las dificultades técnicas y económicas pueden limitar su aplicación a gran escala</abstract>
