Sumario: In space, satellites are exposed to a plethora of natural risks. An increase in orbital space debris is further threatening satellite missions. The situation is grim, but space agencies and satellite operators are working on solutions to clean up Earth¿s orbit. Satellites are insured against damage under 'all risks except'-type policies during their launch and in-orbit phases, which guarantee their ability to achieve their missions. Third-party liability insurance, as regulated by law, addresses the liability of the satellite owner or operator whose satellite or debris has caused damage
