<subfield code="a">Finaccord's report titled Travel Insurance and Assistance in Latin America provides a comprehensive overview of the travel insurance and assistance markets of six Latin American markets, namely Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. Finaccord estimates that the combined value of gross written premiums and other revenues from travel insurance policies sold on a stand-alone basis across these six countries was USD 738.9 million in 2015, and it predicts that this figure will rise to around USD 1.35 billion by 2019. It should be noted, however, that this forecast is based on converting the respective national currencies to US dollar at the average exchange rate for 2015. Given that local currencies in a number of countries, most notably Argentina, declined substantially against the US dollar between 2011 and 2015, this forecast overstates the US dollar market value in 2019 if that trend continues.</subfield>
