<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En el periodo diciembre 2001 - diciembre 2016, la rentabilidad anual media del IBEX 35 fue 5,24% y la de los bonos del Estado a 15 años 5,27%. La rentabilidad media de los fondos de pensiones fue 2,03%.    
Entre los 335 fondos de pensiones con 15 años de historia, sólo 3 superaron la rentabilidad del IBEX 35 y la de los bonos del Estado a 15 años. 6 fondos tuvieron rentabilidad promedio ¡negativa! Los fondos de pensiones tenían (diciembre 2016) 7,1 millones de partícipes y un patrimonio de 65.338 millones</abstract>
