<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The images in this book are the work of a special breed of photographers -men and women who live to photograph life at the extreme. They face enormous challenges. Dangling off boats in treacherous seas. Hanging out of helicopters in gale force winds. Ducking torrents of freezing salt water when they step out on deck. But their greatest challenge is keeping the camera lens dry. As they peer through the viewfinder and squeeze the shutter, moments before another wall of water sweeps across the deck, they capture the images that make the Volvo Ocean Race unique, and tell the story of a human conquest against nature.</abstract>
