<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Una característica intrínseca al negocio asegurador es su capacidad de analizar miles de datos para calcular los riesgos, conocer las necesidades de sus clientes, predecir sus comportamientos,... Las aseguradoras son conscientes de la importancia de gestionar esta cantidad ingente de información y, a la vez, de lo trascendental que es disponer de una buena calidad de datos. Esto ha hecho que en las compañías, por un lado, empiecen a tener relevancia las oficinas de gestión del dato, al igual que especialistas en este tipo de funciones y, por otro, se desarrollen sistemas, protocolos y herramientas encaminadas a conseguir y mantener los datos, su calidad y su seguridad.</abstract>
