<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El volumen de datos digitales en todo el mundo está creciendo exponencialmente junto con la expansión generalizada de las redes de sensores y de las plataformas digitales. Sucesivas generaciones de nuevas herramientas y técnicas analíticas pueden analizar datos estructurados y no estructurados con el fin de obtener, de manera económica y no intrusiva, información útil sobre particulares y empresas, así como sobre el impacto de desastres naturales y siniestros antropógenos. Las aseguradoras de daños y accidentes (P&C, por sus siglas en inglés) añaden fuentes de datos externos semiestructurados a sus propios datos para poder valorar nuevos mercados y nuevas clases de riesgo.</abstract>
