Sumario: Chile's insurance sector has experienced a number of challenges with a 10% contraction of premiums following a period of civil unrest, regulatory change, falling commodity prices, and the challenges of the COVID-19 global pandemic which resulted in lockdown restrictions on trading and mobility. With consumer sentiment marginally lifting towards the end of Q2, there remains hope of recovery in 2021-22 supported by fiscal and monetary stimulus packages targeting household consumers, SME business owners and sustaining the commercial sector in the near to medium term
