<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The PwC Global CBDC Index is designed to measure the level of maturity of central banks in deploying their own digital currency. The inclusion of the Stablecoin Overview was considered a sensible evolution in the analysis, given that the two frameworks co-exist. One framework is fully supported by the state, while the other is only partially so, and only to the extent that the underlying depository institution is regulated and protected by the state through deposit regulation and protection schemes.</abstract>
