<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La dependencia está llamada a convertirse en la contingencia del S. XXI. Según la Ley 39/2006 que regula la dependencia, el sistema público debería haber estado en pleno funcionamiento en 2015. Sin embargo, la crisis económica retrasó su implantación. Hoy en día el sistema está en pleno funcionamiento, aunque con importantes limitaciones, entre las que destacan la escasez de los recursos financieros del sistema.</abstract>
