This systematic review analyzes the effects of ageism on cognitive performance, healthcare access, and social inclusion among people living with dementia. Following PRISMA guidelines, thirteen peer-reviewed studies were selected from major scientific databases. The findings show that negative age-related stereotypes worsen cognitive assessment outcomes, reinforce stigma, and contribute to diagnostic delays and unequal care. Social stigma further increases anxiety, exclusion, and reduced quality of life. The review highlights inclusive, intergenerational, and participatory interventions as effective strategies to reduce bias and promote equitable, person-centered dementia care
