<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: This article analyses socio-economic inequalities in unmet long-term care (LTC) needs among older adults in Spain using data from the 2019 European Health Interview Survey. Unmet needs are conceptualised as the gap between required and received care and measured continuously in hours. The study examines inequalities and inequities by income, health status, and living arrangements, stratifying by eligibility for publicly funded LTC and disability severity. Results show that unmet LTC needs disproportionately affect women, individuals living alone, the oldest-old, and those with lower socio-economic status. The findings highlight the need for targeted policies to improve equity and efficiency in long-term care provision in ageing societies</dc:description>
