<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The report analyses the EU's progress towards the objectives of the Digital Decade 2030, highlighting advances in basic connectivity, business digitalisation and digital public services, but also structural gaps in technological capabilities, digital skills, cybersecurity and the adoption of AI. It emphasises the need for massive investment and coordinated reforms to strengthen technological sovereignty, accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and ensure that the digital transformation benefits society. It proposes measures to address strategic dependencies, boost critical infrastructure, foster innovation and strengthen resilience against cyber risks, with a particular focus on AI, cloud computing, semiconductors and 5G/6G networks. The document also addresses the social dimension, democratic safeguards and sustainability, linking digitalisation to competitiveness, security and the green transition</abstract>
