<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Desde que fué afianzándose en el proceso económico de la sociedad industrial, el seguro privado, en todos sus órdenes, ha venido configurándose según una realidad que podríamos llamar, tal vez, trilogía empresarial con arreglo al siguiente esquema: la empresa aseguradora, la empresa mediadora o de producción y la empresa técnico-valoradora de los siniestros ocurridos, en su vertiente económica. Dentro de esta trilogía, lo que aquí nos importa tratar es, fundamentalmente, aquella que se refiere a la mediación y, en otro aspecto estrechamente unido a ella, la técnico-valoradora del siniestro, sus causas y el consiguiente montante económico.</abstract>
