<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En los últimos cinco años, con el avance del proceso de integración, la convergencia regional media europea no sólo no ha progresado, sino que parece haber sufrido un cierto retroceso. Resultado de ello son las importantes diferencias regionales existentes en la CE en la actualidad. Este artículo aborda el problema de la distribución de los beneficios derivados de la integración económica y monetaria entre las distintas regiones europeas y plantea la cuestíón crucial de cómo va a resolver Europa el probable proceso de divergencia regional en el futuro.</abstract>
