<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Para una adecuada protección de los recursos hídricos subterráneos hay que considerar que la mejor manera de eliminar los problemas es la de impedir la entrada de elementos nocivos en el agua subterránea. La prevención más eficaz es una adecuada ordenación del territorio, a través de la realización de estudios geológicos, hidrológicos, hidrogeológicos y de fuentes potenciales de contaminación, para poder recomendar las áreas más adecuadas para la puesta en práctica de actividades potencialmente contaminantes. Uno de los métodos utilizados para representar el peligro de contaminación de las aguas subterráneas, ha sido la realización de cartografía de vulnerabilidad a diferentes escalas</abstract>
