<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este artículo se analizan los principales factores determinantes de la competitividad de los servicios en el ámbito de las economías más avanzadas y posteriormente se valoran y cuantifican las relaciones entre la industria y los servicios, a nivel desagregado, a partir de la información contenida en las Tablas I-O de la economía española, correspondientes a los años 1980 y 1985. Mediante este análisis se pretende demostrar que la elevación de la competitividad de los servicios puede redundar en beneficio de las correspondiente a la industria, dado que, más, los servicios actúan como inputs en los procesos industriales</abstract>
