<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les indices biologiques d'exposition (BEI) sont des seuils d'alerte correspondant soit à une réaction biologique à un produit chimique, soit aux concentrations d'un produit chimique ou de ses métabolites dans les tissus, les liquides biologiques ou l'air expiré. Les BEI sont un nouveau moyen d'assurer la protection des travailleurs, et doivent être considérés comme complémentaires des valeurs TLV dans l'air. Cette note définit les BEI et présente leur intérêt et leurs limites. Deux tableaux proposent, l'un les BEI adoptés par l'ACGIH, l'autre les propositions de nouveaux BEI pour 1987-1988</abstract>
