<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les indices biologiques d'exposition (BEI) sont des seuils d'alerte correspondant soit à une réaction biologique à un produit chimique, soit aux concentrations d'un produit chimique ou de ses métabolites dans les tissus, les liquides biologiques ou l'air expiré. Les BEI sont un nouveau moyen d'assurer la protection des travailleurs, et doivent être considérés comme complémentaires des valeurs TLV dans l'air. Cette note donne des définitions les BEI de l'ACGIH et de l'Allemagne (BAT), présente leur intérêt et leurs limites. Un tableau récapitule les valeurs attribuées à ces indices pour 1990</abstract>
