<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La rhinite est souvent la première manifestation d'une maladie allergique respiratoire qui peut devenir invalidante, si elle est négligée. En conséquence, l'identification de l'allergène et son éviction doivent être aussi précoces que possible. Le T.P.N. est un test de rhinites allergiques d'exécution facile, sa sensibilité est bonne et supérieure à celle de la recherche à celle de la recherche d'IgE spécifiques et il est toujours praticable. C'est toutefois un examen plus coûteux que les épreuves diagnostiques classiques, et il mobilise le malade une ou plusieurs heures, parfois à plusieurs reprises. C'est pourquoi il propose d'en limiter l'indication aux situations où l'étiologie allergique évoquée par l'anammèse ne peut être confirmée par un R.A.S.T., soit parce qu'il n'en existe pas, soit parce que ce R.A.S.T. est négatif</abstract>
