Sumario: The past occupational exposure to asbestos of 23 patients with mesothelioma has been evaluated by a personal interview of their work history and by determination of the fibre burden in their lung tissue with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and x ray microanalysis. The aim of this study was to compare history of work with the lung fibre counts in Finnish Cancer Registry of patients with mesothelioma and to shed ligth on their history of exposure to asbestos
