<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: A passive sampler (Porton diffusion sampler) is evaluated for use as an indicator of halothane levels in operating rooms. The weight of halothane picked up is shown to be directly related to both ambient halothane concentration and time of exposure. However, pick up is markedly dependent on the orientation of the sampler to the gas flow and on the velocity of gas past the sampler. An equation is presented which relates weight picked up by the sampler to flow rate, halothane concentration and time</dc:description>
