<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Afin de mesurer la résistance au glissement des sols et des semelles de chaussures, les Caisses mutuelles d'assurance accident de RFA, entre autres instances, ont proposé d'effectuer des tests selon la méthode dite "de la marche". Le principe consiste à faire marcher un sujet sur un plan de plus en plus incliné, le coefficient de frottement est calculé à partir de la valeur de l'angle d'inclinaison pour laquelle le sujet ne se sent plus en sécurité. La valeur des résultats, obtenus avec cette méthode a été analysée. En ce qui concerne l'objectivité, la fiabilité et la validité des résultats, cette méthode est nettement inférieure à celle que fait appel à des dispositifs mécaniques. Il est donc recommandé de ne pas en faire une méthode normalisée et de poursuivre la mise au point des dispositifs mécaniques</abstract>
