<subfield code="a">A dust generator has been developed for use in animal exposure experoments, which is able to produce constant dust concentrations over long periods. The generator consists of a fluidized bed which is continuously fed with a mixture of dust and fluidizing particles by means of a screw feeder, while excess particles from which dust has been eluted escape via an overflow pipe. The pre-mixing of particles and dust improves the flow properties of the powder and enables it to bed at a constant rate. Performance data are given</subfield>
