Sumario: The aim of the present study were: to further evaluate the influence of different types of work on musculoskeletal problem; to map the extent and character of objective signs as well as subjective symptoms of the musculoskeletal system in welders and office clerks; to validate the questionnaire study of subjective musculoskeletal symptoms through the physical examination and strength testing; and to relate physical signs or subjective symptoms to muscular strength. A similar study concerning professional fisherman has previouly been undertaken
