<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: The objectives of this study were (1) to investigate and analyse the effects of long-term isometric contractions at different levels of exertion as a function of different muscle groups and age groups; and (2) to develop a mathematical model that would fit, evaluate, and explain functional data, which may lead to insight into muscular performance and strength decrement or fatigue. This research combined the findings of the studies, namely endurance time, fatigue curves, muscle biopsy, and electromyography, and extended that to different age groups and muscle groups</dc:description>
