This report describes studies on charcoal cloth as a potential absorptive dermal dosimeter for evaluating deposition of volatile liquids on clothing or skin. In order to characterize the other factors, the authors studied, in laboratory settings, the adsorptive capacity of charcoal cloth for volatile liquids, the retention efficiency at various conditions, and the rate at which vapors adsorb onto the charcoal cloth
