Sumario: This document presents a thorough literature review and discusses the various risk factors associated with lifting. Procedures for evaluating the parameters of a lifting task are described, and a equation for predicting weight limits for safe lifting is presented. Finally, the work practices guide presents recommendations for reducing lifting hazards in the workplace through engineering and administrative controls
