Sumario: The article discuss the recent decision by the German Supreme Court regarding the enforceability of US money judgments in Germany. In order to place this discussion in context, however, the article first discuss the general rules governing the enforcement of American money judgments in Germany. The rules apply to all American verdicts whether they emanate from federal or state courts and they also apply within the whole of the Federal Republic of Germany
