Sumario: The aim of this work thus to selectively collect ferrous foundry dust with granulometric fractions of biological significance and to carry out a comprehensive analysis of these fractions by using standard methods of industrial hygiene to determine the concentration of dust, silica, and metal fumes and more sophisticated techniques such as SIMS, ESCA (electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis), and electron microscopy to probe the heterogeneity of these dust particles
