<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: Two experiments have examined the effects of whole-body vibration on visual performance. The first experiment concerned alphanumeric reading performance and contrast thresholds for gratings subtending 7.5, 10 and 12.5 cycles per degree. Seated subjects were exposed to vertical sinusoidal whole-body vibration. In the second experiment, contrast thresholds for horizontally orientated gratings subtending 1.5 and 12.5 c deg-1 were obtained from the subjects at five minute intervals during a 60-minute whole-body vibration exposure, a 20 minute pre-exposure and a 60 minute post-exposure period</dc:description>
